Woman convicted of drug offenses posts cash bail

SUNBURY - Diane (Reichwein) Delvalle, 35, of Coal Township, who was convicted last week in Northumberland County Court of felony drug offenses, was released from Northumberland County Prison earlier this week after posting $80,000 cash bail.

A jury comprised of all women convicted Delvalle and her 45-year-old husband, Cornell B. Delvalle, of multiple drug offenses involving the delivery of crack cocaine to informant Robert Santore.

The Delvalles were charged by Coal Township Detective Jeff Brennan in connection with incidents that occurred in late 2007 and early 2008 in the township.

Mrs. Delvalle was released from prison Monday afternoon. Her husband remains incarcerated in the county jail in lieu of $100,000 cash bail.

Both defendants are scheduled to be sentenced by Northumberland County President Judge Robert B. Sacavage within 90 days.
